It’s almost the weekend and you know what that means…we’re all amped up for Food Truck Friday!
This week, Patty Wagon is stepping up to the plate to prove why they’ve got the best burgers in town.
Good timing, since we’re smack dab in the middle of National Burger Month!
In the food truck industry, it’s all about what sets you apart from the competition.
Owners Matt, Mike, and Stephanie explained to Carson what makes their truck unique.
Patty Wagon is the only food truck in Los Angeles serving up 100% grass-fed beef.
We hear people talk about how grass-fed beef is healthy all the time, but why is that?
The cattle are raised on a pasture (instead of a factory farm) and are never fed grain or anything unnatural to their diet.
This means the beef is lower in fat and calories and higher in vitamins, calcium, potassium, and Omega 3s.
Long story short, their burgers taste better and are healthier for you!
Patty Wagon launched in March of 2010 and in honor of their 1-year anniversary, they opened up a second truck this past March.
The truck has a 1930s/1940s theme and many of the burgers are named after songs from that era.
The retro motif is also a nod to the way food was prepared back in those days — naturally, without steroids, growth hormones and antibiotics.
Patty Wagon’s beef actually comes from one of Matt’s friends who raises grass-fed cattle in Idaho.
While we could’ve eaten everything by ourselves (I know, we’re animals!), we decided to reward one of our listeners with a visit from Patty Wagon.
Congrats to today’s winner, Paachez from Los Angeles! We hooked up her whole office with a free lunch!
