T-minus 1 week until [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lady Gaga[/lastfm]‘s sophomore album, Born This Way, drops, so obviously Mother Monster has been traveling all over the world to promote it.
First she showed up in Cannes, then London, and now Gaga traveled even further north to Carlisle, England to participate in BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend.
She treated the audience to several songs, including an acoustic version of her latest single, “Edge of Glory!”
It may not have been the Monster Ball, but [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lady Gaga[/lastfm] sure put on quite a show for all her Little Monsters.
Arriving in a velvet-lined coffin and sporting a fake baby bump, she performed hits like “Telephone,” “Bad Romance,” and “Alejandro.”
But fans got an even more exciting surprise when she showcased several tracks from her upcoming album, including “You and I,” “Americano,” and her first live performance of “Edge of Glory.”
[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lady Gaga[/lastfm] said that she was told “not to do this,” but when does she ever follow the rules?
During her set, she revealed that the death of her grandfather inspired her to write this emotional song.
BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend also featured artists [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Bruno Mars[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Black Eyed Peas[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Taio Cruz[/lastfm], and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Tinie Tempah[/lastfm].
