It’s officially Memorial Day weekend, so most people are pulling their grills out of storage and throwing a good, old fashioned barbeque.
Well us lucky employees at AMP Radio are getting spoiled because today, the BBQ is coming to us!
Bool BBQ is all about the fusion of Korean and South American flavors.
Owner Dan Kim explained to Carson why he was motivated to get into the food truck fad:
Bool BBQ launched back in May of 2009.
It’s a family-owned affair. The Kim family uses their mother Eva’s recipes, sister Monica grills on the truck, and brother Dan handles the business side of things.
The Kims always wanted to get involved in the food truck industry and a truck was the easiest way to get their foot in the door.
The family grew up in Brazil, so they obviously wanted to incorporate their heritage into their dishes, but they also noticed that Korean BBQ taco trucks were experiencing tons of success on the streets.
It seemed like a no-brainer to fuse both flavor profiles together and clearly it’s been a winning combination!
The Bool BBQ truck serves up tacos, burritos, and quesadillas and all the meat is charcoal-grilled daily.
If you’re a Food Truck Friday fanatic, then you know that each week, we hook up one listener with a free lunch for their entire office.
Congrats to our big winner today, Lana from Woodland Hills!
Didn’t get lucky this time? Try again next Friday morning with Carson!
