Only weeks after lighting up the stage for AMP’s Switch Party 14, singer [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jeremih[/lastfm] showcases his vocal range and musical talent yet again by covering [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Adele[/lastfm]‘s hit song “Rumor Has It” from her 2010 multi-platinum album, 21.

And he does not disappoint.

Accompanied by only a guitarist, Jeremih plays both the drum AND the keyboard managing to show off his extensive musical talents.

The Chicago crooner stripped down the song and grooved out, standing up the whole time!  Did I mention he was playing the drums standing up?

He even played parts of the melodies from “Ice, Ice Baby” & “Under Pressure” by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Vanilla Ice[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]David Bowie[/lastfm] & [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Queen[/lastfm], respectively, before throwing in some of his own flavor by hitting some notes from his hit song “Down On Me” with the keys and guitar.

As for choosing Adele to cover Jeremih explains:

I think [Adele is] one of the hottest new breakthrough artists.  I love her sound of music.  It kinda gives me the old Motown sound of music that I grew up listening to.

The “Birthday Sex” singer explained his motivation for choosing this song from everything out there right now

You probably have never heard this type of sound from my voice, so I just wanted to touch it and see what I could do with it.  The Bridge is probably my favorite part. I think it showcased entirely my vocals. As being so bare, and no real ambiance, except for the keys and the guitar.

I have to agree! Check the video for yourself. This is a whole new side of Jeremih, and I like it!

Do you think the two would ever do a real song together, and more importantly would you want to hear it?
