Just a few months ago, we were all jamming to [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Rebecca Black[/lastfm]‘s surprise YouTube phenomenon, “Friday.”
Well, the company that helped Rebecca score worldwide fame is trying to see if lightning will strike twice.
After holding a nationwide search, Ark Music Factory thinks it has found the next big thing.
Lexi St. George, a 14-year-old California native, debuted her first single on Good Morning America.
The music video has essentially the same feel as “Friday,” although we could do without the hair glitter extensions!
Ever since [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Rebecca Black[/lastfm]‘s cheesy teen anthem caught on like wildfire, she’s made hundreds of thousands of dollars through iTunes sales and even appeared alongside [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Katy Perry[/lastfm] in her music video for “Last Friday Night!”
This new Lexi character is actually pretty cute and definitely has a talent for singing, but is her song catchy enough to dominate the internet like her predecessor’s did?
Take a look for yourself!
