From her days when she was warning that we wouldn’t be ready for her “jelly” to her questionable diva confession of her alter-ego of Sasha Fierce to her beautiful (and seemingly stable) relationship with her husband [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jay-Z[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Beyoncé[/lastfm] has blossomed in front of our eyes from turned-out teen to gorgeous married woman.

Never has this been more evident than in her new video called “Best Thing I Never Had” from what is easily her best album, albeit most experimental album ever, 4.

Doing the fine balancing act of looking both breathtaking and natural, Beyoncé’s video for “Best Thing I Never Had” starts with her wearing sheer, skimpy lingerie–that doesn’t look remotely trashy.

She gesticulates sassily and we are told a story about a woman on her wedding day who walked away from her straying-eyed prom date years before. Then we get to see her wedding, tears falls, people laugh, and it’s just about as emotional (and sometimes cheesy) as any real life wedding.

Haters will point out the kitschy sentimentality of the video, but any girl with a romantic bone in her body will get a little misty-eyed.
