Carson Daly: Food Truck Friday With Tornado Potato!
Is it just us or did this week seem to go on for FOREVER?
It’s probably because we spent the whole time eagerly anticipating our guest for Food Truck Friday!
Today, we’re getting a taste of the old-fashioned American potato with a South Korean twist.

The truck opened its doors to Los Angeles in October 2010 and has been a huge success ever since.
Tornado Potato specializes in, you guessed it, tornado potatoes!
Basically, it’s a fried flavored potato on a stick. You can eat it alone or have the potato wrapped around a brat or Polish sausage. Yum!
It’s actually a very popular street food in South Korea and the owners thought it would translate well here in the States because Americans and potatoes go together like peanut butter and jelly!
With a unique product like the Tornado Potato, they’ve been able to capitalize on the rapid rise of the food truck fad in Los Angeles.
Tornado Potato keeps it all in the family. Father Chris Sr. came up with the idea to start selling the spiral snack, son Chris Jr. is one of the main investors who helped to start up the business and Chris Sr.’s other son Matt is in charge of all field operations for the truck.
