Why report on anything country when we are a slammin’ pop station? Because we love [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Adele[/lastfm], of course!

The beautiful, slightly mysterious British soul singer who has topped the Billboard 200 charts for twelve weeks recently reported told a British rag that she is going to go a little country on her next album.

Hopefully she means more like [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Patsy Cline[/lastfm] country and less like[lastfm link_type="artist_info"] Shania Twain[/lastfm] country.

Miss Adele told The Sun that her new album would have more “melodies and to-the-point lyrics… in a lot of American styles of music.” Apparently these included styles like country, bluegrass and rockabilly.

Adele also said she will be visiting Nashville and Austin, Texas–maybe for inspiration or to record? Wait, we just dreamed up an Adele album produced by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jack White[/lastfm].

Wow, we can die happy in our imaginations now.
