Maybe we are just spoiled by the “blockbuster” level antics of Lady Gaga or Katy Perry videos or the intimate glimpses at superstar personalities like in the Spike Jonze directed music video for Kanye West’s and Jay-Z’s “Otis,” but [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jason Derulo[/lastfm]‘s new video for “It Girl” is more like “Makin’ Me Snore Girl.”
Seemingly at some sort of Mediterranean seaside villa, Derulo dances, strokes a girls face, and there are lots of ’90s-style close-ups of wrought iron.
Don’t get us wrong; we like the song “It Girl” from Jason Derulo’s upcoming album Future History. The video is just boring.
Doesn’t Derulo want to make a hit from “It Girl?” Are music videos gone the way of the past now that MTV doesn’t really stand for Music Television anymore?
