When we first heard that [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Eminem[/lastfm] had topped Rolling Stone’s King Of Hip-Hop countdown, it came as no surprise.

Like King Midas, everything he touches turns to gold.

His latest album, Recovery, has sold over 4 million copies just in the U.S. alone and was the best-selling album of 2010.

But what was more interesting to us is who else made the list!

Rolling Stone used data from 2009 through July of this year.

They weren’t looking for the all-time greatest artist, but rather the hottest rappers in the game right now.

The magazine based its decision on 6 different criteria: rankings on the R&B/hip-hop and rap charts, YouTube views, social media, concert grosses, industry awards and critics’ ratings.

And even though Rolling Stone dubs it a list of kings, Miss [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Nicki Minaj[/lastfm] came in at #6, proving that hip-hop isn’t just for the boys!

Check out the rest of the top 20!
