Truthfully, we weren’t “holding out breath” for another [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Nicole Scherzinger[/lastfm] video because Scherzy had just come out with her less-than-fluid video for “Wet” and nothing had really been announced.
However, the sultry singer just released a moody, mooning video for her dance-jam break-up song (conundrum?) called “Don’t Hold Your Breath.” Featured prominently in the video: water. Girl just likes it wet, doesn’t she?
While this video is pretty uneventful (mad mama Scherzinger sulks around her apartment in the dark with messed up hair, the end), it’s visually pretty dynamic. It shows a more tentative, even melancholic side to the usually perky looking Scherzinger.
We are like “what!? She’s not wearing glitter and a spandex crop top!?”
Usually in a break up song like this where the singer is about to break out into dance over some horrible injustice, the situation in question is lying, cheating, or something in that genre of emotional upsets. But Scherzinger portends that it could go even more, ummm, Dexter than that:
“You took my money/and I know that you could kill someone”
What?Is the breath holding forced? Scary.
