Not only has [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Patrick Stump[/lastfm], the ex-lead singer of[lastfm link_type="artist_info"] Fall Out Boy[/lastfm], adopted a sleek new physique, but the musician has had a “falling out” with his old emo pop-punk ways.
These days, Stump is going Soul Punk. We’re not sure exactly what that means, but in his new video for “This City” that means a few dope verses dropped by Chicago homeboy [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lupe Fiasco[/lastfm], the city lights of the Windy City, and an interesting punk-rock take on the formal ensemble.
Considering Stump has taken an enthusiastic running leap away from his normal rock persona, we’re surprised that this actually works. And so will tons of his diehard fans from Fall Out Boy. Stump actually looks more comfortable as a pop icon.
Or maybe that’s the new bod and his undoubted newfound maturity?
