We hate to say it, but it’s true. Summer is officially over.
Gone are the beach days and balmy nights.
But there’s always one thing we can count on…Food Truck Friday!
Today, Flavor Rush is making the trek from the OC to our dumpy little building in Culver City to show us what they’re all about!
Just looking at the name alone, we had no clue what we were in for with Flavor Rush.
Owners and chefs Ted & Alex explained to Carson why there isn’t one category that defines the food they serve day in and day out:
For Ted, going in the food business is in his genes.
Both his mother and uncle owned restaurants in SoCal and when he was old enough, he studied at the famous French Culinary Institute in New York.
He then returned to the OC, worked in several restaurants, and also got into the catering business.
Within the past couple of years, the food truck fad really started to take over Los Angeles.
Ted knew he wanted to get involved, so he bought an old bakery delivery truck from St. Louis and set up shop!
Flavor Rush switches up their menu daily, so as a whole, it has tons of options.
Some entrees they’ve cooked up in the past include grilled tilapia tacos, pulled pork sliders, and chili fries.
Ted and his crew have set themselves apart from their fast food competition by only using ingredients from farmers markets. This ensures that you’re eating the freshest food possible.
Every Friday morning, a new truck visits AMP Radio, so you better tune in for your next chance to win!
