For the past couple weeks, we’ve seen the Occupy Wall Street protests take over not only New York City, but the entire country.
And lately, some big-time celebs are starting to take notice.
Here in LA, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Rage Against The Machine[/lastfm]‘s [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Tom Morello[/lastfm] and actor Danny Glover contributed to the cause, but the Manhattan movement was shocked yesterday when AMP Radio artist [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Kanye West[/lastfm] stopped by to see what all the fuss was about.
Kanye, clad in some gold chains and grill, took to the streets with Def Jam record label co-founder [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Russell Simmons[/lastfm].
According to reports, the pair didn’t get too involved during their short visit.
Apparently, they looked around for a little while, then got back into their car and left.
Russell tweeted about their day trip and hinted at a possible collaboration between the protestors and artists like Kanye:
Somehow, we don’t think Kanye will be the last celebrity to show up on the streets. Who do you think will be next? [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lady Gaga[/lastfm], perhaps?
