There are not very many 12-year-olds we know that actually work a weekend job in their father’s ice cream shop (aren’t there laws against that?). We also don’t know very many young girls who are also pop stars except, oh, maybe[lastfm link_type="artist_info"] Rebecca Black [/lastfm](if you count her) and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Willow Smith[/lastfm].
[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Snoop Dogg[/lastfm]‘s apparently overworked daughter, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Cori B[/lastfm]., deftly fuses together the sounds of those two aforementioned pop stars with the weekend-anticipating theme of Miss Black and the individuality anthem of Miss Smith.
All together it’s a whole lot, maybe too cute. Which is what a 12-year-old should be!
We’re digging Cori B.’s young girl vibe. She’s not the best singer, but hey, she reminds us of the musical commercials between cartoons when we were kids.
Like back to an age where 12-year-old girls still played with dolls instead of texting their friends.
