According to producer [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Kane Beatz[/lastfm], responsible for hits like “Bedrock,” “Bottoms Up,” and Nicki’s own “Superbass,” Nicki is taking this album very seriously. She wants to be involved in every aspect of its creation. More specifically, she wants the music to be just right befor she even begins her writing process, “She just started, so she’s really picking her music and picking the songs. She’s real selective,” Kane told reporters.“She’ll pick all the beats before she even starts writing, so right now, we’re just getting music together, and it’s going crazy right now.”
Kane also talked about Nicki’s aspirations to stay on top of her game, “She wants hit records every time and she wants to be creative,” he hailed. “With Nicki, it’s more about getting the music right and leaving her the room to be creative and leaving her room to do her.”
Also, for this album Nicki has reportedly claimed that she plans to focus less on collaboration on her sophomore effort, while also professing that her best was yet to come, ”My best work is ahead of me, not behind me. Stay tuned. As soon as I get off this tour [which wraps this month], I’m headed to LA to work on this sophomore album and it’s gonna be epic.”
Epic is an understatement, if Nicki can make waves as big as “Superbass”, then there’s no telling the greatness she could achieve. Bring it on, I feel it already, that boom-ba-doom-ba-doom-ba that…well you get it.
