A bubblegum pink carpet greeted guests at the entrance of the typically rugged rock ‘n’ roll exterior to the House of Blues Sunset Strip. Dozens of flashing cameras made the glammed out attendees feel like celebrities as they stopped to strike a pose before making their way into the transformed rock house to experience a glamorous night of fashion, music and art. In honor of AMP’s Pink for October that’s bringing awareness to help fight breast cancer, we teamed up with the Project Ethos event that meshes a triple threat of fashion, music and art from emerging local artists and designers all to benefit one thing — fighting cancer. Michelle hosted the evening (after getting a complete high-fashion makeover herself) that featured the new menswear collection I.AM from [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]will.i.am.[/lastfm] and music from Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz feat. [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Black Cards[/lastfm] all to champion for the cause Stand Up To Cancer.
AMP’s own Michelle got dolled up for her hosting duties with a complementary makeover from the hair and makeup staff priming the models for the runway. After enduring a few moments of painful hair-teasing and prodding from makeup brushes, Michelle was ‘pink carpet’ ready with an edgy rocker makeover that put the other models to shame.

As guests filled in the three-story venue, the night officially kicked off with a performance from American Idol top 12 contestant Julie Zorrilla, which provided the perfect backdrop to take in the visionary artwork from artists like James Naccarato, Gregory Siff, Allison Reimold and more.
The night really picked up with the feisty dance hits from Pete Wentz’s new project Black Cards fronted by the engaging singer Bebe Rexha. She lured the audience in with her sex-kitten prowess and pouty vocals while Pete acted as the group’s DJ that pumped out the dance beats and riled up the crowd with his charismatic stage presence.

If past Project Ethos events prove anything from previous music acts like [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]LMFAO[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Bruno Mars[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Far East Movement[/lastfm], then Black Cards are on the forefront of a big break out onto the scene, and with an alluring, fearless frontwoman and the star power of Pete Wentz, it’s only a matter of time.
The crowd packed in and the runway seats filled in for the main event of the night — the fashion show. The pristine white runway provided the stage for the models showcase the newest and innovative fashions from up and coming designers.
The headlining collection was created by none other than Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am called I.AM, which featured casual menswear with a futuristic edge that’s true to his own style. Plus, the male models weren’t bad on the eyes either.

The fashion ranged with the cute and chic day wear of Lauren Nicole, the head turning shoe conceptions from B by Aperire, the internationally fresh designs from Britboy, the high-fashion knockouts of Pentard Couture and many, many more. Each designer brought their own unique flair to their collections that catered to various tastes and styles for both men and women everywhere.
The party didn’t end after the fashion show either, DJ Supersosam kept the dance music flowing up until last call with the crowd and models mingling together to celebrate the event’s success. For each ticket sold for Project Ethos, $1 was donated to benefit Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) to help bring awareness of their mission to find a cure for cancer.
Not only did Project Ethos blend fashion, music and art to help kick off the start of L.A. Fashion Week, but the event created a unique experience unlike anything else for guests all while designing a stylish way to fight cancer.
