There’s not too many stories that get Carson completely riled up at 8:30 in the morning, but it looks like we’ve found the button pusher.
Page Six is reporting that X Factor judge [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]L.A. Reid[/lastfm] trucked in a fleet of swans to hang out on his swanky Hamptons estate for a big X Factor taping.
Wait, what? Why? How? We have so many questions!
Find out how he pulled it off and why it got Carson into a tizzy earlier today!
If you haven’t been following along with the FOX show, here’s a little background info.

They have started the portion of the competition where the singers are divided in different groups and they are being mentored by one of the four judges.
In an attempt to make things more intimate, the judges are actually coaching their team in their very own homes.
As you can imagine, big names like [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Simon Cowell[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]L.A. Reid[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Paula Abdul[/lastfm], and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Nicole Scherzinger[/lastfm] have amazing estates, but that just wasn’t enough for Reid.
Nope, the record executive actually had swans sent in to populate his grounds! Over-the-top, much?
A source revealed to Page Six:
L.A. has the most beautiful house, but the idea of having swans gliding on the lake outside sounded good, so he ordered some swans be shipped in.
But not everything went according to plan.
They were running around, flapping their wings and causing chaos. Their keepers spent hours trying to get them to stay in the lake. Then the crew joined in chasing them around, but the swans preferred the pool. Though the swan handlers were annoyed, L.A. was cracking up. He thought it was so funny.
- Do you agree with Carson that [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]L.A. Reid[/lastfm] went overboard with the swans? Should singing competitions focus more on the voice rather than appearances? Sound off in the comments!
