So by now you’ve heard [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Rihanna[/lastfm]‘s latest song “We Found Love” on AMP (see the music video here). Did you know that it was produced by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Calvin Harris[/lastfm]? If you’re not sure who that is and haven’t heard his music, well, that’s what I’m here for! The Playlist pick for this week features the European and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Kelis[/lastfm] in a video that was filmed in Vegas… baby.

There once was a time when the only people who knew about [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]David Guetta[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Afrojack[/lastfm] or [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Deadmau5[/lastfm] were club rats (uhh… no pun intended) but they’ve hit mainstream in the States pretty recently in a new sort of dance/electro/pop music movement. This kind of music has always been pretty big overseas but it’s getting more attention here at home base and now there’s another name for you to get familiar with.

[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Calvin Harris[/lastfm] is a Scottish DJ who not only became a producer but also wrote songs that he himself sang over. He famously worked with [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Kylie Minogue[/lastfm] and more famously turned down working with [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lady Gaga[/lastfm] (crazy, but true).

If you have [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]LMFAO[/lastfm]‘s Sorry For Party Rocking he’s featured on the song “Reminds Me Of You“. So… he’s worked with a lot of AMP artists which makes this is an easy choice. I actually got to see Calvin Harris live at The Music Box in Hollywood earlier this year.

Hope you enjoy “Bounce” which features Kelis as this week’s Playlist pick.
