As of late, vocal powerhouse [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Adele[/lastfm] has been nursing her struggling vocal chords back to health. That means no live performances within the near future, and after canceling her US Tour for the second time in as many months we knew it was serious.
The demand, however, for her acclaimed live performance has not faltered in the slightest. In fact, her popularity may again be on the rise, as she recently bounced back to #1 on the Billboard charts, marking her 13th week at #1. The good news is her latest announcement: she will be releasing a DVD/CD of her live performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
The DVD/CD combo pack is due to be on sale November 29th and will feature 17 tracks from her first and second albums respectively, 19 and 21, as well as a couple cover songs.

We wish her the speediest of recoveries and the strongest vocal chords this side of the Atlantic Ocean. Oh yeah!

AMP has been keeping close tabs on the newest [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]B.o.B.[/lastfm] album, and for good reason: everything we hear about it makes it seem better and better!
After first reporting of the collaboration with[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”] Lil Wayne[/lastfm] on the title track, Bobby Ray has released a few more names of the features on his sophomore album, Strange Clouds.
[photogallerylink id=64904 align=left]It almost goes without saying that Grand Hustle captain and B.o.B.’s mentor, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]T.I.[/lastfm] is locked into the album, but also [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]OneRepublic[/lastfm], fresh off the “Good Life” remix with Bobby Ray. B.O. told interviewers that his track with OneRepublic is “the song of 2012” which also features a secret “mega feature from somebody who never does features with anyone!”
[lastfm link_type=””]Nelly[/lastfm] and one of the best lyricists in the game, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Andre 3000[/lastfm] will also have their moments on the new B.o.B. album.
The idea of the album is to show off Bob’s growth as an artist, “I feel like Strange Clouds comes as more a B.o.B the artist in totality,” he said. “I feel like a lot of people may not have seen everything that I can do or what I’m about or what’s on my mind and what I talk about and do as much as they should have, I guess. But it’s my job as an artist to bring that music to the people, bring that side and show that side of me as an artist and as a person.”
Well. Bring. It. On. Expect to see some Strange Clouds around these parts March 2012.

[photogallerylink id=82880 align=left]If [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Diddy[/lastfm] invented the remix, the [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lil Wayne[/lastfm] invented the sequel. Yes, you can quote me on that. Both of these artists have brought unmatched ingenuity and have attained more success than anyone in their respective mediums.
The same way Bad Boy records was on top of the music game when Diddy was introducing the younger generation to hooks and choruses from 70’s and 80’s throwbacks, is the same way that Lil Wayne has Young Money atop the label heap leading the way with back to back platinum albums in Tha Carter series.
So it should be no surprise that Weezy is going back to what he knows, the sequel. While Wayne has closed Tha Carter, he is prepping to release follow up albums for his rock album, Rebirth, as well as another rap project in the follow up to I Am Not A Human Being.
Young Money President and artist, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Mack Maine[/lastfm] sounded off Lil Wayne’s latest music ventures, and they seem to be out of this world, “He’s, like, 12 songs in, and it’s crazy. He went left. He’s in Martian land right now.”
Though neither of these albums reached the commercial success of his last two installments of Tha Carter series, these albums allow Tunechi to explore other sides of his musical prowess, “He gets to show his rock side, he gets to show the gangsta side and talk to the women on one side,” said Mack. “On I Am Not a Human Being, he is definitely showing some weirdo, left-brain, I’m-not-from-here type side. He can say what he wants. There’s no boundaries or limits.”
And that is exactly what appeals to some of Weezy’s more fringe fan bases, “He captures all those different audiences and then at a concert or a show, you bring all those different people together,” Mack continued, “You bring your Rebirth rock people, you bring your Carter people, and you bring your I Am Not a Human Being [crowd], and you have a great show. That’s why we sell out arenas every night.”
And that’s true, Weezy can sell out a concert for sure. But if history is any indication, Tha Carter 1 and 2 fizzled in comparison to the sales of 3 and 4, so by my measure Rebirth 3 and I Am Not a Human Being 4 should do stellar on Billboard!
Remember, you heard it hear first. Mark it!
