Mother Monster is showing off her maternal instincts again. This time she zeros in on India.
[photogallerylink id=128568 align=left]While in the country to shoot her new video for “Marry The Night,” and perform at a Formula One racing after party [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lady Gaga[/lastfm] decided to also squeeze time into her schedule to visit some orphanages. When talking to NDTV, Gaga admitted that her visits served as research. A source close to Gaga said, “Gaga would one day like to set up a foundation in her name to help children and, now her career has really taken off, she feels as if it’s the right time to do something. She isn’t the type of celebrity who just throws cash at things though.”
It’s clear that the country speaks to Gaga and serves as an important backdrop to a song like “Marry the Night.” Talking to the crowd at the party, Gaga revealed that she would perform “Marry the Night” for the first time, “I feel like I’ve waited a long time to come here. And I feel very grateful,” she told the excited crowd “For the first time ever, I’m going to sing ‘Marry the Night.’ “
Also while in India, the singer told NDTV that she directed the video herself, “Well, I can share exclusively with you that I directed this video myself. So this is my first directorial debut,” marking her first solo directing job. Previously she’s worked with Haus of Gaga and her creative director Laurieann Gibson.
She capped off her stay in India with a shout out to the biggest movie making city in the whole world, “Screw Hollywood. It’s all about Bollywood,” she wrote adding a picture to the message.

[photogallerylink id=95652 align=left]In a recent Interview with Vibe Magazine, Young Money president, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lil Wayne[/lastfm] sounded off on a number of artists and issues including [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Nicki Minaj[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Drake[/lastfm], being in tabloids and most interestingly enough, Watch The Throne.
While Weezy persists that there is no beef between him and Jay, he has no intention of listening to his current music, “I haven’t heard the album. I’ll probably never hear the album,” he replied shortly when asked about [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Jay-Z [/lastfm]and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kanye West[/lastfm]’s collborative album, Watch The Throne.
A few months back after Weezy’s track “It’s Good” leaked off his Tha Carter IV album, rumors sprayed the net that Wayne was dissing Jay-Z, taking shots at his wife and mother-to-be, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Beyonce[/lastfm]. The war of words spawned in response to a line in Jay-Z’s verse on the “H.A.M” track with Kanye.
Wayne previously stated that he doesn’t expect any response from the hip hop mogul, “I know there won’t be any repercussions behind what I did. I know for a fact music is about perception. You can’t do anything but perceive what you hear. I know that for a fact. So I can’t ever be upset about someone’s reaction.”
I just wonder if Jay-Z took the time to listen to Tha Carter IV. Or maybe he was busy running his new basketball team or preparing for his epic concert. Either way, this one looks to have fizzled all the way out.
Can’t we all just get along?

[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Chris Brown[/lastfm] hasn’t been making his usual headlines these last few weeks, but I don’t think he has an issue with that right now. He’s hard at work, on the road for his F.A.M.E. tour with pop cohorts [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]T-Pain [/lastfm]and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kelly Rowland[/lastfm]. I hear they are putting a one heck of a show!
[photogallerylink id=110070 align=left]But even with all that ahead of him, Breezy hasn’t slowed down his music game one bit, prepping his next album, Fortune for an early 2012 release date. After naming lead singles off the album, according to frequent collaborator [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kevin McCall[/lastfm] said “The Fortune album is really done,” adding that Chris had accumulated enough songs for even more albums, “Chris Brown has four albums done if he wants to.” He capped his comment saying he liked the album a great deal, “But the album’s done and it’s great. I like it better than F.A.M.E. personally.
Brown named the lead singles off his latest upcoming album, “Strip” and “Biggest Fan.” The first “Strip” comes straight off his rap-based mix tape, Boy in Detention.
Props to Breezy for supporting two albums at once, this is a testament to his hard work. And that must be one heck of a live show!
Keep an eye out for the album, Fortune, hitting stores early 2012.
