After suffering 2 seizures in the same day last month, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Rick Ross[/lastfm] made his big return to TV on BET’s 106 & Park yesterday.

He took the opportunity to explain the cause of his alarming hospitalization.

During the interview, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Rick Ross[/lastfm] also revealed what he’s doing to improve his health and even we were surprised to hear about the first thing he did after getting released from the doctor’s watchful eye!

You may remember that at the time of his seizures, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Rick Ross[/lastfm] was flying to Memphis and Greensboro for a personal appearances, but his planes were forced to make emergency landings.

It all seems very traumatic, but the rapper had no clue what was going on!

I was going about my business. I boarded the flight and on the flight I had a seizure, and when I snapped out of it, they told me what had happened. I’m like, ‘You buggin’. Call a jet. We finna keep it movin’.

And after a series of medical tests, he believes his big health scare may be due in part to his tireless work ethic:

[pullquote quote=”It was a case of me not getting enough rest, just not getting enough sleep. So you know I had to fix that.” credit=”Rick Ross”]

Being the fastest growing label in the game, wanting to be the number one label in the game, it comes with a lot of sacrifices. And in my case, it was sleep. I would get two hours of sleep and keep moving—me being a hustler, that has to stop. I was fortunate enough for the doctor to run a battery of tests on me from cancer, diabetes, HIV, etc., and I came back totally healthy. It was a case of me not getting enough rest, just not getting enough sleep. So you know I had to fix that.

Since then, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Rick Ross[/lastfm] has been resting up and spending time with his family, but he didn’t exactly follow the doctor’s orders 100%!

As soon as I got home, I’m supposed to be on bed rest, but actually me and Jay-Z finished the biggest collaboration that we’ve ever done together for my album.

We’re excited to hear what they’ve cooked up, but we hope he isn’t pushing himself too hard!
