Carson Daly: Food Truck Friday With Crepes Bonaparte & Brats Berlin!
Food Truck Friday is quite possibly the greatest idea ever invented.
Each Friday, a new truck comes in, feeds the morning show, and then Carson treats one of our lucky listeners to a free lunch for their entire office.
So how could it possibly get any better? We’re doubling the deliciousness with 2 trucks!
The two trucks are owned by husband/wife duo Danielle & Christian. Christian explained to Carson why they were motivated to take on the responsibility of multiple food trucks:
After graduating college in 2008, Danielle and Christian made their first foray into the biz with Crepes Bonaparte.
The two had traveled to Paris and loved that vendors sold crepes from carts on the street. Naturally, they thought this idea would translate well to a food truck.
No matter what your taste buds crave, Crepes Bonaparte have got you covered. They serve a wide selection of breakfast, savory, and dessert crepes all made authentic and simple ingredients.
They ended up being so successful, they decided to expand their business to a second truck, but this time they wanted to try something different.
While Danielle was studying abroad in Germany, Christian visited her and the two of them indulged in bratwurst from several traditional restaurants.
They thought this would be a great concept to bring back and thus, Brats Berlin was born!
The truck offers a variety of gourmet sausages and Belgian fries, so bring your appetite!
The couple was also inspired by the East Side Gallery in Berlin, so every 6 months, they bring in a different street artist to spray paint a new design on their truck!
Who was our lucky winner today? Michelle in Culver City!
Carson makes it rain food truck-style every Friday morning, so listen up next week for your next chance!
