Well, it’s that time again…flu season!
It starts innocently enough. A sneeze, a sore throat, but especially in an office like ours, it spreads like wildfire.
Nearly 50 million people catch the flu virus every year.
Even we were shocked when Doreen told us that flu season runs from September through May!
It’s important to get the flu shot every year because the virus mutates and last year’s shot won’t protect you from this year’s strand.
We’ve always heard that sometimes you can get the flu from the vaccination, but Doreen assured us that the only side effect is a little pain in your arm from the shot itself.
The vaccination is safe for children as young as 6 months old.
For pregnant women, they offer a preservative-free version, which worked perfectly for Producer Angie, who’s expecting her own little one in just a couple months!
But then came the moment of truth, it was time for Doreen to start administering the actual flu shots.
There’s only one way to find out…take a listen below!
- Are you getting a flu shot this year? Tell us why or why not in the comments!
