Sometimes the best tactic it to fight fire with fire and that’s exactly what [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Pitbull[/lastfm] has done by filing a countersuit against Lindsay Lohan under the pretense that he isn’t unreasonable or out of line for using the line “I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan” in light of all of her legal issues.
*Ahem* But he does have a really good point. It’s not like he made up a story and then tagged her name at the end. She really did get locked up, what could she argue?
This all started when Lindsay Lohan decided to file suit against Pitbull for slander because of his “harsh” song lyric using her name. In response, the Miami rapper extended the proverbial olive branch to the former Disney actress by inviting her to the MTV Video Music Awards where he was slated to perform the incriminating song.
Her response, you ask? It doesn’t exactly exist, but she is still suing the “Hey Baby” rapper. This time, however, he took off the kid gloves and filed his own lawsuit. In his legal statements to Ms. Lohan, he urges, as stated, that his use of the lyrics was justified because of Lindsay’s real life jail time and even goes as far as challenging the location of the claim, “In light of Ms. Lohan’s continuing obligations to the State of California, as well as the foregoing facts, Ms. Lohan is a citizen of California, not New York,” Pitbull’s countersuit states.
It’s getting really petty now, I can only imagine how this will turn out. I will say that we at AMP radio hope they both come to their senses, stop wasting tax money, and drop their lawsuits. Hash it out over coffee.
Pitbull has already stated that he never meant any ill will towards Lindsay, “I didn’t look to defame, degrade or hurt someone’s career. For me, mentioning it on a #1 record around the world, I thought it would be helping someone’s career, and keeping them relevant. We mention people’s names all the time; when it comes to rapping, it’s always about double meanings and metaphors and how you flip certain things.”
Another good point from Pitbull. Thus far, his sentiments have fallen on deaf ears. Lets be grown ups about this, Lindsay. C’mon!

This just in, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]T-Pain[/lastfm]’s lineup for his fourth album, rEVOLVEr, is going to be bonkers! The former auto-tuning crooner recently released the track list for his forthcoming album and it has revealed some very interesting collaborations.
The album will feature guest spots from R&B notables, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Chris Brown[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Ne-Yo[/lastfm], and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]R. Kelly[/lastfm] on the deluxe edition of the disc. Hip hoppers, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lil Wayne[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Bei Major[/lastfm],[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”] Pitbull[/lastfm] and of course [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Wiz Khalifa [/lastfm]are also featured on the album. His song with Teddy P also features [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lily Allen[/lastfm], and you love it, just as much as I do, it’s “5 o’Clock.”
T-Pain does a couple songs featuring producer,[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”] Detail[/lastfm], who is responsible for Lil Wayne’s ballad smash, “How To Love.”
Basically, this album is packed with amazing features and we should be excited. Oh wait, I am excited! Are you? rEVOLVEr will be out on December 6th.

I believe he calls it Grand Hustle, shawty. Believe me, I know it sounds better coming from [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]T.I.[/lastfm] but I’m just trying to explain how hard he’s been working since being released from the halfway house months ago.
T.I. is in the midst of filming his own VH1 reality show. But instead of the chaos you see in reality T.V. like Bad Girls Club or Who Wants to Date This Rich Guy (that should be a show, if it isn’t), Tip’s show focuses on his family. Entitled, “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle,” the show was supposed to start taping the first day T.I. was released from the halfway house.
Unfortunately for the “Kang of the South,” a federal judge preferred that he not perform any business until his full release and was ordered back into custody to finish out his sentence in the halfway house. After that incident, T.I. was careful when leaving the second time and has no plans to return as he’s made clear in the songs he’s released since being sprung.
The VH1 show will premier on the network on December 5th. Plan to see and up close and personal look at T.I.’s family and professional life.
This will hopefully include more insight into the relationship book T.I. and Tiny have planned, as well as a spotlight of the musical talent in the rest of the family. Like T.I.’s son, Domini, who has been talking a whole lot about being a rapper lately. He even released a remix to his dad’s latest track, “I’m Flexin.” Like father, like son, I presume. I bet Tip couldn’t be more proud!
I most look forward to getting a glimpse into his extravagant brunch he threw for his friends, family and the mayor. I bet the food was on point!
