The Grand Hustle captain, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]T.I.[/lastfm] has been back and forth between two titles for his upcoming album. When he last checked in with us, it was still between “Trouble” and “Kill The King.” In a recent sit down and track preview session with Billboard, the Kang announced that his next album will be called Trouble Man.
[photogallerylink id=128447 align=left]He took time to talk about how the album is more about the experiences he’s had in the past than what’s going in his world right now, “A lot of times I’m taking myself out of my element,” T.I. explained in regards to Trouble Man. “This is the first project where I’m talking about things that I’ve experienced before that I’m not necessarily experiencing now cause I’m not doing a whole lot of partying. I do a little bit but not a lot… nothing like when I was in that life,” he continued.
I must say, I appreciate the turn around, especially since trouble seems to follow T.I. to the party scene, case in point: his incident with [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Diddy[/lastfm] at the BET Hip Hop Awards after party. Still, the more mature side of T.I. is no stranger to spitting fierce bars on rap songs either, so don’t think his hustle has changed, only matured.
Also Tip told the media about his new single, “Pyro,” which is scheduled to drop in days. “I have this one record, ‘Pyro’ that I’m proud of,” T.I. said, “‘Pyro’ is a straight party record. It’s nostalgic of those crazy nights, early mornings [but] just turned up.”
This marks the third single T.I. has released since his September release from federal custody, after “I’M Flexin’” and “Hear Ye, Hear Ye.”
