Lloyd Wants It To Be Just “Me & You (This Christmas)” In New Song
With his [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Michael Jackson[/lastfm]-esque voice and his [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lionel Richie[/lastfm]-musical stylings, the radio edit of [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lloyd[/lastfm]‘s rather risque song “Dedication To My Ex (Miss That)” featuring [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Andre 3000[/lastfm] definitely brought a ton of ice-cold soul this summer.
Now Lloyd is primed to heat up winter with a Christmas song called “Me & You (This Christmas)” that sounds like it could be an old (new) classic. Hey, we had to put a parentheses around something else in that sentence. We want to make Lloyd proud.
Lloyd’s Christmas song is totally original, but it sounds like such a mixture of Jackson’s “She’s All I Want For Christmas,” Lionel Richie, and some classic crooner that it’s bound to appeal to music lovers of all ilk and age.
This is definitely a song you can slow dance with your Grandma to. Just make sure the next song on your iTunes isn’t the unedited version of “Dedication To My Ex (Miss That).”
Now that would be totally awkward, although something tells us your Grandma might know more about that subject than you think.
OK, now it’s really awkward.
