Have you seen The Muppets yet? Well it’s awesome! According to sources close to the film though, scenes featuring [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Katy Perry[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lady Gaga[/lastfm] had to be cut to shorten the film, thus making it a smidge less awesome. But still very very awesome!

Director, James Bobin, was tasked with the job of making the 3 hour film a mere 98 minutes for final audiences and in the wake of his cuts, both Lady Gaga and Kety Perry fell to the cutting room floor.

Their scenes, both epic in nature, would have provided almost too much Diva-tude for one audience to handle, especially since their scenes feature the infamously diva, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Miss Piggy[/lastfm]. Producer Clint Morris said, “Gaga would have gone head-to-head with Miss Piggy in a sequence.” And true to form, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Madonna[/lastfm]’s “Vogue” was the centerpiece to their dance battle. This also would have marked Mother Monster‘s big screen debut.

As for Katy, a remix of her “I Kissed A Girl” was morphed into “I Kissed a Squirrel” and featured her and Miss Piggy smooching with the squirrels.

So why were those scenes cut again? Seems likes a bunch of missed opportunities to us. Well, look out for the DVD release. We’re banking on the deleted/extended scenes feature!

Adele has been riding the recovery train every since her vocal chord surgery, keeping quiet, letting her voice and throat heal but still making time to reach out to fans via her blog and, of course, merchandising (the UK Diva recently released a Live DVD of her performances at The Royal Albert Hall- check the preview here!).

[photogallerylink id=115721 align=left]But Adele has a little more than just not talking to worry about when it comes to her voice strength. The UK singer persists that her vocal issues have never had anything to do with her love for cigarettes but it seems the singer has had to quit them for the betterment of her sound.

Not very rock star of her, if you ask me, but between medical professionals and people with good common sense, it seems obvious that what’s best for your throat is to not inhale known combusted carcinogens on a regular basis. But just because it makes sense doesn’t mean it’s easier for Adele to give them up.

“If I wasn’t a singer I still would be smoking 25 a day,” she reportedly said. “Smoking is my favorite thing to do in the world, I am gutted I have had to give up. But I have been tough – no patches, no gum, no hypnotism. It f—ing sucks.”

Well, we at AMP can’t wait for her return, even if we can’t share a cig with her afterwards.

Maybe she just needs a new hobby?

[photogallerylink id=122658 align=right]Back in 2010, it’s a little known fact that [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]T.I.[/lastfm] went through a series of oral surgeries. To cope with the pain he was prescribed Oxycontin and Hydrocodone, two very strong and highly addictive pain relievers. Unfortunately, T.I. recalled, his pain relief slowly but surely turned into a dependency and in fact addiction to the prescription pills. The Grand Hustle captain looked for help from a familiar voice, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Eminem[/lastfm].

Eminem, who famously beat his addictions and rebounded as the most successful hip hop artist out right now, hasn’t had the chance to talk to T.I. since his stint in federal prison and the halfway house, but the two share a bond that runs deep and has helped T.I. resurface as positive artist.

“I asked him how he knew he was an addict,” T.I. told VIBE in 2010. “[He said] basically, if you put yourself in harm’s way… if you risk that, you’ve got to assume that there is something fundamentally wrong with your thought process.” From then on, Em became and remains a huge support for Tip to stay clean and sober.

“I haven’t had a chance to speak to Em since I’ve been home,” T.I. said. “I heard that while I was down, he was trying to get in contact with me, but I don’t know if the dots just didn’t connect. [Eminem] overcoming his own adversities, winning the battle against his own demons and continuing to break the mold and re-set the standard of what it means to be the most successful hip-hop artist in the game … I salute that to no end.”

[photogallerylink id=128447 align=left]T.I. also used this time to talk about the inner struggle one goes through when trying to over come adversity, “It starts with you on the inside,” he said. “I can give all the advice in the world, but at the end of the day you just got to make that decision internally with yourself. You have to see that you are ready to make a change. Until that moment comes, all advice in the world is going to be in vain cause I’m going to be talking to a brick wall.”

“Everybody can tell you what you need to do, how to do it, when you need to do it, how bad you need to do it,” T.I. continued. “But until you get that right a** whipping, as they say, and until you have hit rock bottom or have seen something in yourself that is so out of character and it displeases you so much that you just have no choice but to change it … then you ain’t going to see it.”
