[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Nicki Mina[/lastfm]j, who famously calls fans ‘Barbz’ has inked a deal with Mattel to create her very own Barbie. But she isn’t the only pop star getting her likeness molded in hard plastic; reports show [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Katy Perry [/lastfm]will also receive her very own Barbie doll as well.
The two pop stars are lucky enough to forever be immortalized by the most iconic doll to ever exist, Barbie. And the very best part is that they are being made to benefit charities.
[photogallerylink id=133791 align=left]This Wednesday the dolls will be available for auction on CharityBuzz.com to be displayed during Divine Design‘s five-day event and gala at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. The bids start at $1,000 and will be received up until December 19th. All the proceeds will go to Project Angel Food which is an organization that provides for food for men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS.
Katy goes back to blue and her iconic cupcake dress for her Barbie, or should I say Katy doll. And Nicki dons her staple pink-do in a pink gown that brings back Moments 4 Life.
When asked about her new statue the Pink Friday rapper shared her award and the credit for it with her adoring fans, I mean Barbz, “It shows that my Barbz are special, and everyone loves them as much as I love them, so I want to thank them most importantly,” she said.
Don’t expect to see these on a shelf near you anytime soon, but if you have the money to give, Project Angel Food is a worthy cause. So bid away, AMPers!
No word yet if this means a long term relationship between Mattel and the ladies of pop, but wouldn’t that just be awesome?

[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]B.o.B.[/lastfm] has been prepping audiences for his next album for the last few weeks now. With tweets teasing his upcoming album, Strange Clouds, and then the E.P.I.C. mixtape dropped for free last week and since then all of AMP has had B.o.B on the brain.
But when B.o.B was looking for a critical opinion of his new album, he sat down with living legend and a personal idol of Bobby Ray’s, non other than Marshall “[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Eminem[/lastfm]” Mathers.
The two have worked together sporadically since B.o.B. first gained notoriety in the hip hop game. Their biggest track to date, “Airplanes II,” made Bobby Ray not only a pop rap king but also a respected lyricist among other rappers. In fact, it’s the moments working with Eminem and artists like T.I. that B.o.B. really tries to learn from.
[photogallerylink id=35913 align=right]”Working with artists like Tip and Eminem, you really learn a lot from people who have put out countless albums,” he said. “Being that I’m fresh in the industry and really eager to learn and really show people everything I can do musically, they kind of help me. I remember Tip telling me, ‘I’m with you. I support everything you do.’ “
Still, the Grand Hustle artist finds it surreal to be able to sit down with artists of that caliber and receive critiques, advice, and especially support. “I grew up listening to Eminem, so to be able to work and get advice on your music from him is a dream come true,” he said. “It was free, a free environment. It really wasn’t rigid, just real free with the music,no ego.”

[photogallerylink id=113463 align=right]Things looked shaky over at the Young Money Cash Money Business team last week when reports broke that [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Drake[/lastfm] had fired his agents at International Creative Management as well as his management team, Hip Hop Since 1978.
Drizzy was also reportedly leaving Young Money (again). Somehow, this rumor keeps circling around the internet despite how much sense it doesn’t make. Drake has been doing amazing in regards to album sales and is still a threat on any feature he’s cast in, so why rock the boat when it’s already sailing so nicely?
Well the truth is he hasn’t rocked it…that much.
Drake is still signed with his management team, Hip Hop Since 1978, who also manage [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]T.I.[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kanye West[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Nicki Minaj[/lastfm]. But Drizzy did separate from his agent’s agency, ICM to join the ever expanding William Morris Endeavor. However, this wasn’t necessarily done because Drake felt “too many hands in his pockets” as a source stated earlier, but instead to consolidate his representation.
The reality is that is takes a village to develop and maintain the images and multitude of aspects that a modern superstar’s career consists of. And it isn’t outrageous that Drake wanted to make his management group a little tighter, if anything it means he’ll have one less building to visit.
And for anyone doubting Drake’s loyalty to Young Money, Heart Break Drake had only this to say at his latest show in Connecticut, “I’ll tell you if you wake up in the morning and you think Young Money ain’t my team, you out of your motherf***ing mind,” he said. “My brother [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lil Wayne[/lastfm] is all the way in Australia right now, but I got my camera on in the back and I just want to let him know how much me and Hartford got for him. So if you got love for Lil Wayne, make some noise!”
