[photogallerylink id=128447 align=left] Atlanta rapper,[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”] T.I.[/lastfm] has been hard at work on his eighth studio album, Trouble Man, ever since he was released from prison in September of this year. His focus has been near impeccable upon release allowing him to record upwards of 50 tracks so far for the upcoming album.
Many of the tracks slated to make the final album will likely follow the theme of the album, T.I. told reporters, “The name of the album is Trouble Man, and every song on here is about things that can get me in trouble,” he explained. “I’m reminiscing on the days when I used to run wild and do my thing the way I used to do it. I’ve got records that are just totally intellectually ignorant.”
Given that the Grand Hustle captain plans to release an album that celebrates partying and good times, T.I. has actually calmed down considerably. Now his focus seems to be his family, first and foremost, which he makes abundantly clear in his new VH1 reality show, “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle.” In fact his son, Domani, who has goals of rap stardom is even featured in his latest video, “Hear Ye, Hear Ye.”
And secondly the Bankhead family man wants to best his last album, No Mercy, which was released while he was in prison but still reached No. 4 on the charts. “I was able to release a project that did well considering the circumstances, but I wasn’t able to put my all into it, which made it only a fraction of my usual contribution to the game,” said T.I.
Well expect a big year from him starting at the stroke of midnight. The King of the south has a brand new mixtape scheduled to be released when the ball drops…literally.
