Today, it’s all the rage to sample songs from our parents’ hey day.

Just think, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Kanye West[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jay-Z[/lastfm] sampled [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Otis Redding[/lastfm]‘s “Try A Little Tendernessand we got “Otis” out of that.

And more recently [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Flo Rida[/lastfm] used [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Etta James[/lastfm]‘ unforgettable voice in “Good Feeling” and it’s become a Daly Download favorite.

So we can only imagine that [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Nicki Minaj[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Sean Kingston[/lastfm] are hoping for that same kind of success with their new retro collaboration, “Born To Be Wild!

But not so fast, “Born To Be Wild” doesn’t actually sample the classic hit ”Born To Be Wild!”

Instead, Minaj and Kingston opted to go with the equally awesome “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.”

Overall, it’s a feel good anthem that has just enough old school flavor fused with the island vibe that we’ve come to expect of Kingston.

And somehow, they manage to combine the 60s with dubstep without sounding ridiculous, which is a feat in and of itself!

Listen to the new track below!
