[photogallerylink id=128777 align=left]Party Rock! Oh[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”] LMFAO[/lastfm] has always been a staple here at AMP Radio, but this year the rest of the world finally got to get a taste of what we already knew: If you want to party, and you want to rock out doing it, all you need is[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”] LMFAO[/lastfm].

The LA based duo took electro-rap to the next level with their new album Sorry For Party Rocking. The band’s smash hit “Party Rock Anthem” basically taught the whole world how to shuffle and still look cool in zebra print spandex. The song was their first No. 1.

Since the success of the song, DJs [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]RedFoo[/lastfm] and[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”] SkyBlu [/lastfm]made their MTV VMA and AMA debut in the very same year. They became international superstars this year and something tells us, that the title fits them both rather nicely. Being related to Motown founder Berry Gordy and all.

The band has been on the tour circuit ever since but recently had to postpone the last few dates of the Canadian leg because Skyblu threw his back out and couldn’t perform despite his most valiant efforts.

That’s right, he even tried to work the stage in a mobility chair, but his doctor called the thing off after only one performance. He’ll be resting and relaxing at the end of this year while Redfoo will most likely take the reins and keep the Party Rock flag flying until Sky is back on his feet.

Right now their new hit song, “Sexy And I Know It” is blowing up the airwaves around AMP Radio and beyond.

As for next year, besides the rescheduled shows, the band hasn’t made their plans clear but we all know it will include a good amount of Party mixed with a more than adequate helping of Rock. And that’s just how we like it!
