[photogallerylink id=128447 align=left]Being a family man first, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]T.I.[/lastfm] has fortunately had his new VH1 reality show, “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle” green lit for a brand new second season. Add this to his upcoming album and the promotion of his label mates’ upcoming albums and T.I. is still a very busy man.
With even more exposure into the rapper and actor’s family life he’s expressly stated the necessity between the “two” T.I.’s.
“When I go home, that’s who I am, what you see on the show. Now, what you’re gonna hear through them records is when I hit the streets, when I’m out movin’ and groovin’ — this is the person that must maintain this personality because it’s a cold world out here,” he said. “At home, I could be Mr. Harris or Daddy or whatnot, but when I’m out here in these streets it’s gonna have to be Tip because that’s what it takes to make it out here.”
After dropping his free mix tape on New Years Eve, the Grand Hustle captain answered what was next for him in the New Year. Besides getting his own hustle on, he has plans to support his artists as well.
“What’s next for me? New year, new money champ. You got the [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]B.o.B[/lastfm] album Strange Clouds, and I’m looking forward to that and I’m really proud of that project. I just signed a deal for the second season of The Family Hustle, so there will be a season two officially.”
He continued on talking more in depth about his upcoming project. “The album Trouble Man. I’m continuing to work. I’m trying to bridge the gap between giving cats Trap Muzik and the “Live Your Life”‘s and “Whatever You Like”‘s from Paper Trail. That’s where I’m at. But that’s an excellent problem to have.”
Certainly a feat to merge those two very different sounds and audiences but if anyone can do it, its T.I.
T.I. “I’m Back”
- Do you think T.I.’s duality is necessary? Does he keep his business and family life separate enough? Tell us what you think in the comments.
So early one London morning, everyone’s favorite rapper to hate, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kanye West[/lastfm], took to his Twitter unleashing about 70 messages about topics ranging from his music, to fashions, to his desire to help make the world better.
He began simple enough, clearing the air about what some already expected: that he was currently without representation because he broke ties with William Morris Endeavor after his agent, Cara Lewis quit working there. “More clarity… I have no agency representing me currently… William Morris was fired after Cara lewis quit. I love Cara Lewis : ),” he tweeted.
[photogallerylink id=94666 align=left]From there, he seemed to have something to say about everything. Like how he has a shoe line with Nike but is noticeably peeved he isn’t allowed to make more, “I designed a sneaker called the YEEZY with Nike. I’m “allowed” to design 1 pair of sneakers every 2 years. I have more ideas…”
But Yeezy also addressed more serious issues, “We can collectively effect the world trough design. We need to pick up where Steve Jobs left off… When I said wealthy I wanted to point out there are so many billionaires in the world that can come together and help to redesign it… Help education. School systems were designed to turn people into factory workers… Schools should be designed to prep human beings for real life.”
But still one of Kanye’s most exciting announcements had to be his new company, DONDA. “DONDA is a design company which will galvanize amazing thinkers and put them in a creative space to bounce there dreams and ideas…” wrote West.
He finished almost as simply as he began. “If anyone would like to reach out email us at contactDONDA@gmail.com… I just wanted to share what’s been on my mind…”
The final tweets of his lengthy Twitter message consisted of a quote from Nobel-prize winning playwright, George Bernard Shaw. It’s clear Kanye wanted to end his thoughts on a positive note.
“‘If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple. …. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.’ – George Bernard Shaw”

[photogallerylink id=135739 align=right]No one has seen much of [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Katy Perry[/lastfm] since she and husband Russell Brand filed for divorce on Dec. 30th.
But she isn’t hiding for too much longer, as she has booked an appearance at the People’s Choice Awards right here n LA on January 11th.
Being that she has won three People’s Choice Awards in the last two year, this could be the exact pick-me up the “Waking Up In Vegas” singer can use after making such a tough decision.
A decision that even surprised people close to the former couple, “They were always laughing,” one source told PEOPLE. “They were very affectionate, always holding hands. They seemed like they were really in love.”
So no one expected them to break after only 14-months of what seemed to be blissful matrimony.
Katy also has a performance in the Philippines later this month.
We’re thinking she’s going to hold off on starting a family a little bit longer. Best of luck to the both of you!
