[photogallerylink id=135118 align=right]After tackling the real world version of her California Dreams tour,[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”] Katy Perry[/lastfm] and Electronic Arts (EA) are bringing it back to life in “The Sims“. In fact, the 27-year old singer is so popular these days that EA is planning to bring a whole world of Katy to “The Sims” game, complete with Katy Perry-themed virtual goods and in-game content.
The partnership, which officially begins in March, will launch a collector’s edition of “The Sims 3: Showtime.” Katy will also be involved in the marketing and advertising for the “The Sims” game.
“It’s cool to see the Sims’ stage performances in ‘The Sims 3: Showtime’ decked out just like my California Dreams Tour — even my cotton candy video screens are in there!” Katy said in a statement, “I always like to think of myself as a cartoon, and now I’m a Sim!”
The “Firework” performer worked tirelessly with EA game developers to create accessories, clothing, hairstyles, furniture and props for the forthcoming game expansion pack.
Katy’s version of the game includes the game, a poster and even stage props, fashions and instruments inspired by Katy and her expansive world tour.
While the game comes out in March, you can pre-order it today on the Sims website. This could be the start of a long and mutually beneficial relationship between Katy and EA, who seem stoked to be teaming with the pop star.
