If you’re anything like us, then you were glued to your television yesterday watching the NFL playoffs.

We were excited to find out which two teams would face off in this year’s Super Bowl and during the New England Patriots/Baltimore Ravens AFC Championship game, we got to hear a very unique rendition of the “Star-Spangled Banner” by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Aerosmith[/lastfm] legend [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Steven Tyler[/lastfm].

From the moment he stepped off the field yesterday, he’s been widely criticized for his performance, but was it really all that bad?

Popular sports website Bleacher Report said Tyler “butchered” it and many others have joked that the American Idol judge wouldn’t earn a Golden Ticket to Hollywood.

Take a listen for yourself:

Clearly, the National Anthem is a tough song to sing, just ask Christina Aguilera or former American Idol Scotty McCreery! How do you think Steven Tyler’s version stacks up against theirs?

  • Is it really as bad as the critics are saying or do you think everyone is being too harsh on Tyler? Vote in our poll below!
