[photogallerylink id=81871 align=left]After a successful run of making TV shows (Making The Band, Who Wants To Work For Diddy?), Sean “[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Diddy[/lastfm]” Combs has decided to start his very own network.
The Bad Boy mogul hinted at having big things on the horizon right before the end of last year, when he was touring Mexico for tequila recipes. Who new he was planning on launching such a huge endeavor, but it’s right up his alley.
Diddy plans on unveiling his new network, which he’s calling Revolt on December 12, 2012. Though not much else is known about the network, it seems that Combs plans to fill the void left by MTV and other former music based networks and show primarily music videos and music-based content.
Still, staying true to Diddy’s audience, the network will focus on urban music and be geared towards an urban demographic.
The network will be distributed to about 18 million homes through Comcast and Time Warner Cable.
We really think Diddy outdid himself this time. A whole network? We’ll be watching. AMP will keep you up to date on Diddy’s latest business venture.
We can only guess the shows he’s going to put on there…

After a banner year and being named the best-selling digital artist ever, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Rihanna[/lastfm] has beat out [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lady Gaga[/lastfm] to become the most viewed female artist on all of YouTube. And there is a lot of music on YouTube. Like a lot, a lot.
Only recently edging out Mother Monster, Rih-Rih received a ton of hits just this weekend pushing her over 2 Billion total views (Lady Gaga was the first to reach 1 Billion back in 2010) and right past Lady Gaga, whose numbers have dwindled in the last few months.
[photogallerylink id=139984 align=right]Clearly, however, with a string of hits that most recently included the smash “We Found Love,” Rihanna’s numbers have been on the rise. For example, “We Found Love” has 115 million views and it’s only been out 3 months, where as “You and I” by Lady G is only at 41 million and has been out since the last August.
Upon finding out the news, Rihanna thanked her fans on Twitter, “First chic to EVER reach 2 BILLION views on VEVO!!!! Congrats #RihannaNavy!!!! #QueenzOfVEVO. My fans run dis world!”
The King of YouTube and Vevo, for that matter remains and may always be [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Justin Beiber[/lastfm], who has a comfortable lead with 2.2 Billion hits and his new album isn’t even out yet. Think about it.

Canada Dry, my foot! [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Drake[/lastfm] seems to be too busy reveling in all his success to notice the cheap shots, Chicago rapper and actor [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Common[/lastfm] keeps taking at him in his songs and freestyles. This weekend won’t be any different.
This time, Drizzy is heading back to the motherland, well, his motherland. That’s right, this coming Sunday, you can check Drake out at the NHL All-Star game being hosted in Ottawa, Ontario (That’s Canada’s capital, FYI).
If you don’t know by now, Canada loves Drake just as much, if not more than America does. The two-time Juno award winner will putt on his show during the second intermission of Sunday’s contest.
[photogallerylink id=142273 align=left]Other performers that night include singer/rapper [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Outasight[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Javier Colon[/lastfm], the winner of the first season of The Voice. Colon will handle the American anthem, while Ottawa Senators longtime anthem singer Lyndon Slewide will do the honors of “O Canada.”
We like to see that no matter how well Drake does here, he still has much love and respect for his hometown and country. That’s awesome!
Drake is up for a three Grammy awards this year. And Take Care is available now, but I really hope you already coped that.
