It seems the Super Bowl half-time show just keeps getting bigger and better. Just days ago, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]will.i.am[/lastfm] revealed that “his group” [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]LMFAO[/lastfm] would be performing during the show with [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Madonna[/lastfm].
“I’m going to the Super Bowl this year to see my group LMFAO perform with Madonna,” said the [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Black Eyed Peas[/lastfm] lead rapper to Capital FM. “Check that out, Will.i.am Music Group is pretty freaking two for two! One year the Super Bowl, the next year another group part of the Super Bowl in collaboration with Madonna. That’s still happening.”
Before this, the only other performers linked to the Super Bowl show by Madonna were [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Nicki Minaj[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]M.I.A.[/lastfm] who were rumored to be joining the pop veteran for a live rendition of their new song together ” Give Me All Your Love.”
There have also been rumors on the web about [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Cee-Lo Green[/lastfm] joining Madonna for her performance. We’re starting to think that Madonna may have gone in over her head. She said herself, the performance has very strict time constraints, “I have eight minutes to set up my stage, 12 minutes to put on the greatest show on earth, and I have seven minutes to take it down so that football field is clean for the second half of the game,” she told ABC News about the performance. “That’s the challenge. How do you do that? I actually wanted to have 100 drummers come from the ceiling, a drum line from the ceiling” she said but noted that it most likely wouldn’t be possible.
Now it looks like she has 12 minutes but a whole lot of performers to fit in…with their own songs.
Who knows what will really go down? Tune in February 5th. We’ll be watching.
