Blue Ivy Carter might already be the most famous child in the universe. When aliens are looking to the planet to see what the iconic child status is for this humble planet Earth, they’ll probably think Jay-Z and Beyonce are our King and Queen and that Blue Ivy is the next in line for royalty.
In order to ensure that no one else steals her crown, The Washington Post is reporting that Mama Bey and Dada Jay trademarked Blue Ivy’s name so that no one else could use it to benefit themselves.
Here’s a quote from The Washington Post article:
[pullquote quote="And reserve it for a future line of baby carriages, baby cosmetics, diaper bags and other undoubtedly fabulous accoutrements for the fashion-forward infant. "]“On Jan. 26, new parents Beyoncé and Jay-Z filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to protect the baby’s name — and reserve it for a future line of baby carriages, baby cosmetics, diaper bags and other undoubtedly fabulous accoutrements for the fashion-forward infant.”
And all the money made will go to a tiny gold throne…or her college education…no doubt.
