AMP Music Minute: Adele Snubs Fame, Skrillex Says “Next Time” To Grammy Performance And Jay-Z and Beyonce Release Blue Ivy Photos

[photogallerylink id=146387 align=right]Fresh off her huge night at the Grammy’s this past weekend, Adele swept all six categories she was nominated for, and her amazing performance on “Music’s biggest night,” the UK songstress still hasn’t lost her head.

Right before the Grammy’s went live, “60 minutes” was able to spend sometime with Adele, who chatted with Anderson Cooper about her outlook on being famous and recalling her throat injury.

“I thought it was hilarious,” she said about her overnight success. “I always wanted to be a singer, but it’s not my cup of tea to have the whole world know who you are.” In fact, she admits that she wrote her incredibly successful album 21 with the intention of getting out her feelings, not making chart-topping history.

When asked about her throat injury, she remembered feeling something “pop” in her throat and now says “I should have stopped singing for six months, but it’s impossible to do when you are in the eye of the storm,” she says referring to being in the midst of a tour. Instead of retiring to the sidelines, Adele continued on the tour until it became unbearable to do so, subsequently re-injuring her throat every night she pushed through.

As for her new beau, Adele says she’s “madly in love” so don’t expect a new round of sad love songs. Fortunately the singer thinks it’d be cliché to continue on in that direction but still insists on sticking to what she knows best: belting out beautiful love songs, happy or sad.

What we do know, is that if Adele goes on tour, singing whatever she wants to sing: We. Will. Be there.

For all the electronic dance music (EDM) fans out there hoping to see the new guy on the scene, Skrillex, mix it up with some of the veterans like [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Deadmau5[/lastfm] and David Guetta at this past weekend’s Grammy Awards, looks like you may have to wait until next time. But it’s not for lack of trying.

Apparently Skrillex was more than invited to the Grammy’s, he was also asked to perform on the worldwide stage but had to decline the offer dude to time constraints.

“I’m leaving for tour tomorrow and there wasn’t enough time for what I wanted to do, prepare,” revealed Skrillex. “This wasn’t enough time for me to where I felt it fit in right.”

And Skrill, who wanted to offer a worthwhile performance thought it best to forgo the offer until he was ready to put on one heck of a show!

“I feel like when you do a performance here, you want to be able to watch it in 10 years and be like, ‘I did this,'” agreed fellow DJ, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]A-trak[/lastfm].

“Maybe next time we’ll all do some ‘wickity-wickity,’” joked Skrillex, imitating a record scratch.

But something tells us that Skrillex isn’t too upset about missing his chance to perform on the “biggest night” because he still walked away with three trophies, including Best Electronic/Dance Album.

Currently Skirllex doesn’t have any upcoming Los Angeles performances but if he gets one, you know where to find out!

AMP out.

[photogallerylink id=139388 align=right]With all the talk about Blue Ivy Carter and trademarks, it’s easy to forget that the little person’s name we’re talking about is just that: a real person.

But Beyonce and Jay-Z wanted to be in total control of their young daughter’s affairs so they waited until they were ready to unveil the first pictures of their newborn.

Instead of selling her off to the highest bidder, Jay and Bey decided to release the photos via Jay-Z’s website, “Life and Times.”

The photos show an overjoyed Jay holding his baby girl while sitting down, Mama Bey grasping her newborn complete with barf scarf over her shoulder as well as close-ups of the little one, Blue Ivy.

The stream of pictures concludes with a note from “The Carter Family” that reads: “We welcome you to share in our joy. Thank you for respecting our privacy during this beautiful time in our lives.”

She’s a beautiful baby, with incredibly talented parents. Sounds like a good life.

We wish all the Carters the very best!
