[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lady Gaga[/lastfm], well-known for the usage of religious iconography and motifs in her music and onstage performances, has allegedly enlisted the help of Indian New Age guru, Deepak Chopra, because she supposedly thinks the devil is haunting her in her sleep.

Chopra, a self-help guru that has helped many including [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Michael Jackson[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Oprah[/lastfm], is known for his Hindu-based spiritual teachings and belief in the Indian science of Ayurveda.

[pullquote quote="I want to go into a coma and levitate. I am a very spiritual person."]According to the Daily Star, Gaga said: ”I have this recurring dream where there’s a phantom in my home and he takes me into a room where there’s a blonde girl with ropes tied to her limbs pulling her apart…I told Deepak the dream was so terrifying I thought somehow that a devil force was trying to take hold of me. He laughed and told me that I should learn to embrace my own insanity…I told him: ‘The Devil is trying to take me, Deepak. I’m a good girl!’ He said not to worry.”

Mother Monster (umm, maybe she should change her nickname?), purportedly went on to say that ”Deepak is the most influential person in my life. His message is a true inspiration. He helps me to reach inside my spirituality and we take it to the next level…I want to go into a coma and levitate. I am a very spiritual person.”

As someone who once worked one-on-one with Chopra, I find this story a tad bizarre only that Chopra always seemed like a realist. Not like someone who would encourage Gaga to levitate.

Of course, this sensational story could be a complete fabrication. Although we don’t doubt somehow Gaga will acquire levitation as one of her talents. Girl is talented.
