[photogallerylink id=144358 align=left] Katy Perry’s brand new single “Part of Me” has risen fast on the sales charts. In fact after debuting the song on the Grammy Awards, she took the number one spot on iTunes, besting both Whitney Houston and Adele (read: POWER houses).
The 27-year-old pop starlet has been active on Twitter about the upcoming video shoot for her new smash single. “Holy power of the Grammy’s, Part Of Me is already top 10 on itunes! U guys are killing it! NICE! Can’t wait to shoot this video!” she tweeted the Monday after the Grammy Awards.
Since then she was spotted at Camp Pendelton in Oceanside, California all decked out in Army fatigues, presumably shooting the video for her new song. Unfortunately neither the base nor Katy’s camp would confirm or deny that they were shooting the video but it sure looks like it.
The images we found of the singer, who went back to basic black for the shoot, show her in a store, another shows her standing with other men in fatigues and yet another displays her in a pool with another soldier, but they both still have on fatigues. Perhaps this video will be about an impossible military love affair. Who knows!? You can check the pictures out here.
AMP will keep you up to date on the video shoot and other news about Miss Kitty Katy Perry.

Today is a big day for Young Money rapper Tyga. His new album Careless World: Rise of the Last King is in stores today but it was not without drama. After a legitimate delay of the album, only days before release the album hit a huge snag that looked like it was going to sideline the new project for weeks.
[photogallerylink id=95579 align=right]Over the weekend, there was a mass recall of Tyga’s new album from just about every retailer including Best Buy, WalMart, Target and Amazon due to uncleared samples on the album by [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Martin Luther King Jr.[/lastfm] The late pastor and civil rights leader’s estate claims that the sample was not given the go ahead and thus would have to be shelved until Young Money/Cash Money could release a version of the CD without the sample, which was speculated to be in about two weeks.
Firing back at the news that his album would be recalled, he took to Twitter to air his grievances. “damn..tryna pull my album out stores.they dont want me to win huh..lol,” he wrote on the networking site. He then returned triumphantly to declare that there would be no delay.“Tues Careless World Will be EVERYWHERE!!!! Itunes,Target, Walmart, Best Buy!!!!!!”
His supporting tour also begins today in Atlanta. Tyga is on the grind for real. The next Young Money star is apparently on the rise…

[photogallerylink id=60522 align=left]Though more well known for another film series about cars, a la “Fast and the Furious,” Ludacris’ new movie project will likely be more about what happens when his car is parked than driving it crazy fast down a highway in it.
There are still limited details, but according to MovieHole.net Chris “Ludacris” Bridges is slated to star in a new film called “Parking Lot Pimpin.” It features Luda as “Walt,” a recently single parking lot attendant who meets a guy named “Dez,” who promises to teach Walt the art of “Parking Lot Pimping,” which is a term amongst young clubgoers that denotes the time after the club you spend in the parking lot trying to pick up dates and nite caps. While this is often done using a car that the participants don’t often own themselves, it’s not essential to the definition.
Shooting is scheduled to begin in April. AMP will keep you updated on the deets of this movie as the reveal themselves.
We don’t know about you, but we’d rather a new installment of Fast and Furious over this one. But it’s still too early to really know. After all, Dez could be cast Kevin Hart or something. And that would be fun-ny!
