Whitney Houston

Losing Whitney Houston was a shock to all of us.

In fact, a lot of people have still not fully mourned the lost of a star like Whitney, but it’s comforting to know that someone was already working on a project to remember her greatness and contributions to the entertainment industry even before she passed away.

The Clive Davis-led biopic about Whitney has been in the works for some time now. And as for casting Whitney, there are many choices, but it looks like Rihanna is the front runner.

People like Jennifer Hudson, Jordin Sparks, who worked with Houston on her final film, “Sparkle,” have all been mentioned as possible candidates. And Brandy has even said in the past that it’s her dream to play Whitney, but Clive Davis, her mentor and music executive, thinks that Rihanna has the spunk to play Whitney.

We can’t help but wonder what Houston thought about the project and the actress who should play her, considering that she did know and “was excited” to see it come to fruition, a source said.

Critics say Rihanna, who will make her big screen debut as Sergeant Raikes in the upcoming action film, “Battleship,” is too inexperienced as an actress to take on such an involved role. They may be right, but wouldn’t that just be wild? Rihanna as Whitney!

Honestly, they should probably go the unknown route, a la “The Blind Side” or even “Selena” (heck, we didn’t know or care about J. Lo before that one, real talk!).

Whitney’s voice and face are too iconic for another famous pop star to pull off with their own image, we would forever compare her to Whitney, and ain’t nobody beating Whitney!

Katy Perry

Katy Perry is more like a basketball than a creme puff, despite popular belief, the way she has bounced back from her unfortunate divorce from Russell Brand.

Initially, she gave herself some time to be alone, but ever since she first reemerged, she’s been nonstop, go, go, go! And that’s cool with us!

On her latest magazine cover (and first since the divorce), Katy is busy looking fierce! She takes center stage on the March issue of Interview magazine. She doesn’t look quite like her usual self, but it would be fair to describe her look as AMP’d or electric.

Inside the magazine, Katy has the pleasure of being interviewed by the humorous star of the “Bridesmaids,” Kristin Wiig. Given the silliness factor of both of these women, it’s impossible to know what to expect.

Pick it up in March! Check out the cover here!

Trey Songz

We all know that celebrities get hooked up with awesome swag from companies as part of their their endorsements and collaborations, but none are probably more fun than the Skittles-branded pinball machine that Trey Songz was gifted for his help thus far.

It even has his name on it!

Only two of these custom pinball machines exist in the entire world (the other is owned by Orlando Magic player, Dwight Howard). He received it during his Anticipation 2our, but it’s likely already getting cozy in his Virginia hometown.

Skittles released a video of the R&B singer unveiling his sweet gift. He looks pretty jazzed, but I would have been screaming my head off in excitement. Pinball is awesome!

Did we mention it was STACKED with bags of Skittles? Trey is a lucky, lucky man.
