Booker’s Sample This: J.Cole “Just Can’t Get Enough”

Good afternoon folks I just love this part of the day where I get to share music with you that has been sampled from other hit records.

Although I’m giving you information that most likely you didn’t know there are some songs that were sampled that even I was surprise to find out.

I just can’t get enough of sharing this sampled music with you which brings me this weeks feature J Cole “Can’t Get Enough“.
This is one of those songs that I thought was original but little did I know that J Cole’s second single “Can’t Get Enough” which is off his debut album “Cole World” is sampled from Balla et ses Balladins 1980s single “Paulette“.

Balla et ses Balladins is a West African dance-music orchestra formed in Guinea. They’re known for mixing traditional instruments and fusing together traditional Guinea folk music with more modern influences. The West African band played in a number of festivals in Guinea to celebrate the country’s riches and talents

J.Cole was recently nominated for Best New Artist at this years 54th Grammys but was beat out by Bon Iver.

Cant Get Enough sits at #8 on R&B/HipHop charts #58 on Hot 100.
