Now that the battle rounds are in full swing, the competition is getting fierce.
Last night on The Voice, we had contestants stepping up their game and even giving each other the stink eye!
Thankfully, we have Carson Daly here to keep us up to date on all the latest, plus, today he played some exclusive interviews that never aired on TV!
There were another 6 match ups last night and this morning, Carson highlighted some of his favorites:
TEAM CHRISTINA: Geoff McBride vs. Sera Hill – “Chain Of Fools”
We know we’re in for an interesting battle when a man and woman face off against each other and Geoff and Sera certainly had their work cut out for them.
Both have a ton of soul going on. Remember Sera? Christina Aguilera was so moved by her blind audition, she actually got up out of her chair and sang along with her!
The panel of coaches were split on who they would pick. They just couldn’t decide between Geoff’s cool sound and Sera’s performance skills, but ultimately, it was only Christina’s vote that counted. She declared Sera Hill the winner of this battle.
TEAM BLAKE: Charlotte Sometimes vs. Lex Land – “Pumped Up Kicks”
Producer Angie was really digging Team Blake’s performance of this Foster The People hit song.
This match up was a dead heat. Both singers have that sultry quality to their voice and there’s only room for one to continue on to the live shows.
In the end, Charlotte Sometime’s stage presence gave her the edge in the competition.
TEAM CEE LO: Juliet Simms vs. Sarah Golden – “Stay With Me”
It seems like Sarah Golden was fighting an uphill battle with Cee Lo’s song choice last night.
The Rod Stewart tune was a more natural fit for Juliet’s gritty style, but Blake Shelton argued that Sarah had a more versatile voice.
Nevertheless, Cee Lo went with the majority on this one and passed Juliet through to the next round.
TEAM CEE LO: Jamar Rogers vs. Jamie Lono – “I Want To Know What Love Is”
We’ve been dreading seeing one of these 2 men go home ever since Carson first told us they were being paired up for the battle rounds!
But you know what’s even more heartbreaking? Over the course of the show, the 2 became best friends on set and then were forced to compete against each other!
Sandwich artist Jamie gave it all he had, but he just couldn’t live up to Jamar’s emotionally-captivating performance.
How does Lono respond to the letdown? He says maybe his purpose on the show was to help Jamar get through to the live shows. Aww…group hug!

Carson warned us that next week’s episode will particularly drama-filled, so prepare yourself!
