Drake Signs on J. Cole, Waka Flocka As Openers-

Drizzy Drake  is about to embark on the second leg of his Club Paradise tour. He kicks off the 27- city amphitheater run  in Concord, Ca on May 7th, gets closer to us in Irvine at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater and wraps up on the other side of the country at Boston’s Comcast Center on June 17th.

Seems Drizzy wants to start our summer off just right by tapping some of the coolest rappers out right now to open for him. In total Drake will have 5 opening acts for different parts of the tour and the list is good!  Count on either J. Cole, Waka Flocka Flame, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz or French Montana to open up for October’s Very Own.

After selling out a string of college venues, Drake couldn’t be happier about the response to his latest work. “I feel like this tour is coming at the perfect time,” Drake said before explaining the idea behind his tour. “It’s taking place in the season that we all wait for, we’re outdoors and you’ve got every single artist you wait to hear in the club on one bill … that’s Club Paradise.”

..that’s awesome. See you in May, Drizzy!

Katy Perry Learned From ‘Part of Me’ Shoot-

Have you had the chance to check out Katy’s cool new military themed video?  Well if not, it’s right here. And apparently this video was more important than just another shoot for the 27-year-old pop singer.

She did all her own stunts on the video and if you saw her in action, you understand just how cool that is! But unfortunately she wasn’t able to just jump in to shoot. During Winter, Katy explained that she gives her self permission to cheat a little bit on her diet. She calls it “Stay Puff Marshmallow Mode.”

“I got on a meal plan. I’m still on that meal plan, although I cheat a little bit — I have to live!” she admitted. “I got a fantastic person to work me out and get me into really good shape.”

Once on the set, she got right to business, “On the actual base, I did a lot of things. I flipped girls, I learned how to fireman-carry,” she said of the maneuver used to rescue wounded or unconscious victims of fires or other accidents. “I know how to carry my weight a little bit more,” she said, before admitting that she didn’t master everything.

“One thing I can’t do, and I hope that there are other people out there that feel the same way, is climb a rope,” she said. “Oh my gosh, it’s so hard to climb rope! It’s all about grip and arms. I tried five or six times on set, but I had to cheat that shot. My hands were shaking.”

Check out her moves in “Part of Me.” She worked hard!

T.I. Talking To Marvel Franchise-

Tip Harris is no stranger to the movie screen. In fact, he’s about to be all over the small screen in his new role in a Starz scripted drama. Not to mention he already has his VH1 reality show about his family, “The Family Hustle.” But now, T.I. may get involved in an even more epic project than reality TV and crime dramas, as he’s been in talks with the Marvel franchise. But he has yet to dish on what he’s working on.

The comic book franchise has apparently been asking about T.I.’s schedule for some time now, and since he’s talking about it, maybe that means he is finally free to work on it. “There is a Marvel Comics franchise that has been inquiring about my availability for quite some time,” he said. “I will not let any cats out of the bag prematurely, however, there is a Marvel Comics franchise that has been requesting about my availability.”

But that’s not all the “Takers” actor has in the works on the film side. He listed off his current and pending projects, which makes us here at AMP radio excited for the future. “We also have a new Tom Cruise film with Doug Liman who made the [first] Bourne Identity, Swingers,” he added. “I have that as well on the horizon…aside from that, I have some other film things that I’m looking into, something with Kevin Hart that I’m looking into, something with Omar Epps that I’m looking into.”

T.I. and comedy king, Kevin Hart…YES!
