Carson Talks “The Voice,” Drunk Tweeting, & Man Dates On “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno!”
As many of you know, the battle rounds wrapped up last night on The Voice, which means the live shows are only a week away now!
To help promote the singing competition, our morning show guru Carson hit up The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and shared all behind-the-scenes info that we don’t get to see on TV.
For example, what’s the deal with Blake Shelton’s drunk tweeting?
Blake Shelton, nice guy, country guy. He’s a cold-blooded killer, this man. He hunts. He drunk tweets prolifically. It’s his thing…He owns it by the way. The press will ask him, “Is it true you like to have a beer..?” That’s what [he] likes to do, that’s his hobby. The last one I read was… “I’m so drunk right now, I’m in the shower and I just saw my reflection and asked, ‘Hey big boy, you want me to drop the soap?’” Who does that?
Fellow coach Christina Aguilera is a newbie to Twitter, in fact, she keeps it old school when it comes to music as well. No iPods for this girl!
You know what’s weird about Christina? She doesn’t listen to music online or through computers. She still takes old CDs and tapes and that’s how she listens to music.
I feel the sexual tension between Adam and Blake now more than anything! There’s a real bromance going on there.
In fact, it’s gotten so bad, Carson now has to avoid his priest at church!
He says, “My son, it’s good to see you here at mass, but God spoke to me last night and you are to give me 4 tickets to the finale of The Voice…” And I don’t want to go to hell for it either! I think I should probably just give it to him, right?
But the biggest surprise of the night came when Carson talked about his upcoming man date with Russell Crowe. The actor is known for tweeting a ton about his weird workout routines and one day, Carson gathered up the courage to ask him what the heck he’s doing!
He actually wrote back to me. I’ve only met him once. And he was just like, “I’m filming Les Mis.” He’s getting in shape to play the cop. And then he said, “How’ve you been, buddy?” And I didn’t really know him that well and I said, “Been good! How’s the movie?” And he said, “It’s good. When I get back to LA, let’s go for a bike ride.” And I said, “Cool.” So, I’ve got a man date with Russell Crowe! Thank you, Twitter!
