Drake Approves of New Justin Bieber Song “Boyfriend”-
October’s Very Own has a lot of respect for his Canadian brethren. Whether Drake displays it by rocking out the the NHL All-Star halftime show or by reminding us that he got his start on Canada’s teen soap drama “Degrassi: The Next Generation” ( Do the Wheelchair Jimmy!), he loves Canada and people that come from Canada.
Obviously this includes Justin Bieber.
Drizzy sat down with Tim Westwood TV who got the scoop on Drake’s feelings about Canada’s other golden boy. “We actually only spent one night in the studio. I was trying to spend a week and get some great songs for him.” he told Westwood. “I heard his single ['Boyfriend'] the other day. I’m really proud of him. It sounds like a growth.”
As for the song Drake worked on for the Biebs, he’s working on it. “I wrote one song and I believe I’m supposed to finish it this week.”
Bieber has to be aware that a Drake feature could skyrocket him right up the charts. Just ask Rihanna, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, DJ Khaled…we could go on…
In the same interview, Drake did his best Weezy imitation, dropped a sick freestyle about hanging with his rich friends and called Rihanna his “dog”. Randy Jackson.
The next time you see Drizzy, he’ll be in black and white hugged up on Rihanna singing about how relationships are hard. “Take Care” video drops soon.
Trey Songz to Star in Upcoming Horror Film-
R&B crooner, Trey Songz checked in with New York’s The Breakfast Club earlier this week in support of his upcoming film “Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D,” which comes out next February.
While in studio, Trigga wanted to talk more about the music than his new movie where he stated that he’d never shy too far away from his soul music roots. “I’m gonna always be an R&B singer no matter how many crossover records I have in the Hot 100,” he said. “It’s important for me to keep my music urban and what I started it to be ’cause it’s not cool to be an R&B singer no more. That’s not the thing to do if you want a hit.”
He also clued the group in on his new and fifth studio album, Chapter V. He says he’s not rushing to put out the album because he and his label have an understanding that he will continue his turned of releasing free mixtapes to ensure his brand. But don’t get it twisted, the “Bottoms Up” singer isn’t sleeping on his album at all. He’s already recorded about 30 tracks for the project, but it’s still not done yet.
One of the upcoming songs that has already made the cut for the final album is a collaboration with the Kang, T.I. called “Two Reasons.”
As for “Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D,” make sure you show your support as Trey is the first black actor linked to the franchise in its 38-year history.
Chapter V will be out when he wants it to be. AMP has the updates, so come back!
Nicki Minaj Says She Hates Cameras-
It’s fair to say that most celebrities have a love/hate relationship with cameras and having their photos taken. Seems today it’s commonplace to be followed around and hunted relentlessly by the paparazzi, flashes flashing constantly. That’s how you know you made it, duh. But while the camera allows for them to reach their fans, it also toes the line of invading their privacy, so we can see how Nicki can say that she hates cameras and camera phones, alike.
“I hate cameras. I hate cameras and I hate camera phones. The camera’s my worst enemy and my best friend,” she told COMPLEX Magazine. “It’s the way I convey my emotions to the world without saying a word, so I use it,” she said. In fact while it has it’s downsides, she admitted that her team sees a different side of her when the cameras come into focus, “People always say, ‘You come alive as soon as the camera’s on!'”
The Head Barb got real with the magazine and even admitted that she isn’t the most positive person she knows, which she understands isn’t a good thing, necessarily. “I happen to be a pessimist, and maybe that’s a good thing because I don’t stop to smell the roses – which is not a good personal thing,” she said. “I don’t stop and enjoy those moments. … Always on to the next and never in the moment.”
Hopefully, Nicki will let herself enjoy her success a little more this time around. Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded drops on April 3rd.
