Adele Plans New Single For Later This Year-
While Adele was in France recently she shared the exciting news of a new song that she wants to release in late 2012. The UK songstress sat down with NRJ as reported by Huffpost where she also spoke on the timeline for a new album.
“There will be a new song, probably coming out at the end of the year,” Adele told the French statio, “But then it depends how quickly I write some other new songs.”
But don’t go thinking this means 23 is right around the corner, Adele made it clear that her next album will take time. “It won’t be for a good two years” she sad of a new album. “I have to write it. It takes a while.”
It’s likely that Adele will write more upbeat songs this time around. She recently spoke on the bittersweetness of her most commercially successful album being about a failed relationship. “I like to try and distance myself from my songs, and I’m finding it quite impossible to do with this record,” she said. “And I’m not sure if it’s because the record is a lot more successful than our relationship was. I’m a bit bitter about that in a way, but in a really profound way because it’s really amazing. Every time I sing the song, something else comes out, a little bit more of me hates myself or a little bit more of me is devastated.”
We could totally see being bitter.
