Last week, Google set the internet on fire after debuting a video for their innovative augmented reality glasses.

In the future, the company hopes that Project Glass will render your smartphone obsolete.

The glasses do everything: make phone calls, tell you about traffic, play music, video chat, but instead of being at your fingertips, it’s all contained in some futuristic-looking specs.

But do we really need to be so closely tethered to our technology?
