Obama Chimes in on Jay-Z Vs. Kanye West-
You have to know you’ve made it when the President of the free world mentions your name and music. It’s got to feel even better when he calls you “very talented,” so Kanye West should feel honored, right? Well…
In addition to calling Kanye a “very talented” artists, President Obama also reiterated one of his earlier sentiments about ‘Ye, agreeing that he was still a jackass. Yep.
Sitting down with a reporter from The Atlantic, Obama was asked his preference between Jay-Z and Kanye West, who famously joined forces for their Watch The Throne album and tour. The President set the record straight saying that he was more of a fan of Jay-Z but has love for the Chicago native as well. “…I like Kanye,” Obama told the magazine. “He’s a Chicago guy. Smart. He’s very talented.”
That’s when the Prez didn’t back down from his statements about Kanye that he made after Yeezy embarrassed himself and Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV Video Awards. Reiterating, Obama affirmed, “He is a jackass,” still giving credit though, added “But he’s talented.”
Well how about them apples?
Jennifer Lopez Prepping World Tour-
We already know Jennifer Lopez has the itch to “Dance Again,” so it’s no surprise that she is ready to take her show (and likely back-up dancer BF) on the road, around the globe.
This will be Jen’s biggest tour escapade to date, taking on 60 cities in four different continents. Popcrush reports (via Celebuzz) that the tour will kick off in June in South America and make lengthy stops in both Asia and then Europe before closing out here in North America.
The back-up dancer boyfriend moves center stage this time around, as Casper Smart will be choreographing the stage show. A source indicates that this tour will be a little bit epic. “This will be a huge tour, complete with a lavish set, full band and team of dancers,” they said.
They also noted that starting in early May, J. Lo and crew have cut back on scheduling so they can focus more time on rehearsals. We should expect an official announcement from the Lopez camp and maybe even more tour dates.

Lil Wayne Re-Sgned With Cash Money; Working On New Albums-
It’s no secret that Lil Wayne reps for his team extremely hard. He’s never far from muttering “Young Money” or “Cash Money” during a concert or interview so when we heard that he re-signed with the label that made him, we barely blinked. But we are very excited about the prospect of his new 4-album deal. Yep, we mean the new music!
“I just resigned with Cash Money,” Wayne announced. “I just resigned another four-album deal, so my next four albums is coming out with Cash Money.”
Making the rounds with his good news, Wayne sat down to talk about the new music he has on the horizon for all his fans.First, the follow up to his 2010 release I Am Not a Human Being, which is simply titled I Am Not a Human Being II, is due out later this year. And fans should be excited because Tunechi is going out of his way for this album. Wayne will also have more creative freedom on this project. And Weezy wants you to know it!
“I just say what I wanna on the I Am Not a Human Being II. Contract-wise, I only get paid for 12 songs. Maybe on a Carter album, you probably only gonna get 12 songs, maybe a bonus 13. But on this I Am Not a Human Being thing, I really don’t care—’cause thank God I’m wealthy enough to not—you’re probably gonna get about 16 on there,” he said to the reporter.
Weezy also announced that he has a new passion project that he is spending time on: Devol. He explained that the project started while he was serving time in Rikers in 2010 and has since evolved into a much more serious work. “I was recording an album at the same time called Devol, spelled D-E-V-O-L, ’cause that’s ‘loved’ spelled backwards,” he explained.
The album, which will consist entirely of love songs, isn’t your run-of-the-mill album about love, because Weezy doesn’t put out music you expect him to sometimes. Devol will be love with a twist. “It’s my version of love songs,” he says. “What I mean by my version of love songs is they’re not saying ‘I love you.’”
Interesting. So what will they be saying?
…No idea. But the curiosity is exploding from within. Unfortunately, no release date for Devol yet.
